Shaykh ʿAbd al-Karīm al-Khuḍayr

Shaykh ʿAbd al-Karīm ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Khuḍayr (born 1374 AH / 1955 CE) was born in Buraydah, where he first read the Qurʾān with local teachers before pursuing formal study. He graduated from the College of Sharīʿah in Riyadh in 1397 AH and remained in academia, earning his master’s degree in 1402 AH and his doctorate in 1407 AH in the department of the Sunnah and its sciences.

He served as a member of the Council of Senior Scholars and of the Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Iftāʾ. He is especially known for his expertise in the sciences of hadith, and for his many lessons and intensive courses (dawrāt) explaining the foundational texts of the field, which are studied by seekers of knowledge across the world.
